AUCTION RULES
In order to be able to participate in our auction, you will need to Login with your name and contact information. You will be asked to enter a valid credit card number as you place your first bid. This is only for verification purposes and no payments will be taken at that time.
Your credit card will only be charged at the end of the auction if you had the winning bid(s). GST will be added to your final bidding amount.
The payment will appear on your credit card statement as Premier Sports Collectables and Memorabilia Inc.
All bids are considered a promise to purchase and all winners have the obligation to pay for items they bid for.
• Each bid is final and cannot be withdrawn.
• If a payment is not made immediately upon completion of the auction, any bid may be withdrawn 24 hours after the end of the auction by Premier Sports.
• You must be 18 years of age or older to bid.
• Each participant is responsible for his/her account. All bets made from this account by anyone (child, dog or other!), is your responsibility.
• If your bid is deemed excessive by the auctioneer, the latter reserves the right to contact you and ask for a deposit of 20% of the value of your bid to ensure the proper conduct of the auction.
• To ensure the integrity of the auction, once a bid is placed, it cannot be withdrawn. Our system requires a two-step process to eliminate any possibility of error.
• The images in the auction are often generic images of the item, which may result in the signature being located in a slightly different place on the item received. When a generic image is used, we guarantee that the winning bidder will receive an item of equal quality to the image.
• The receipt issued at the end of the auction directly from the auction platform is considered a purchase receipt.
• To bid on an auction item, you must enter a credit card number. Your credit card will only be charged if you win one or more items at the end of the auction.
• You have 90 days to pick up your item(s) after the auction, after which, a storage fee of $10 per week will apply. Any items not picked up one year after the purchase date will be back on the auction without refund.
• All prices are in Canadian dollars.
• GST will be charged on the total amount of your win.
Extension Of the Auction
The Bid Extension feature allows bidding to continue in 1 minute increments past the scheduled
closing time on high-interest items.
This feature extends the auction closing time on an item by 1 minute each time a new bid is
placed during the last 1 minute of an auction. This assures that all bidders will have the
opportunity to counter any last-second bids on an item.
The item’s closing time will continue to extend in 1 minute increments as long as there is
continued bidding or until we reach 15 minutes which is the last possible bid time decided by the auction
manager. When the countdown becomes red, this means that there is no possible extension
anymore on this item.
When the countdown time on these items changes from yellow to red, this will mean that no further
time extension will occur.
Receipts will be sent to the winners for all auction lots at 8:15pm.
TIPS & TRICKS
• Click on the heart to add your favourite items to your list. This will save you from searching thru all the items!
• Use the categories or the search bar to find your items more easily.
• All the items you have bid on will automatically appear in your favourites list.
• Refresh the auction page often in the last minutes. The page does not refresh itself so if a bid is placed, you will not see it, and won’t be able to bid accordingly.
• Use the Max Bid option to help you win your items, especially if you have more than one.
• Use the Max Bid in the last few minutes so you don’t run out of time to bid at the end. Due to various devices, internet connections and high traffic, you may experience a slowdown in the last minutes of the auction. Schedule your maximum bids at least 10 minutes in advance to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

MAX BID RULE
Example of How Maximum Bidding Works
You currently hold the highest bid at $125 on an item.
You place a maximum bid of $200.
The minimum bid increment is $10.
Scenario 1: Bidder B places regular bids below your maximum
Bidder B places a bid of $135.
→ The system automatically bids $145 on your behalf.
Bidder B then places a bid of $155.
→ The system automatically bids $165 on your behalf.
The auction ends and you win the item for $165, even though your maximum bid was $200.
Scenario 2: Bidder B places a maximum bid below your maximum
Bidder B places a maximum bid of $190 with 10 seconds left in the auction.
→ The system automatically places a $200 bid for you.
→ You win the item.
Scenario 3: Bidder B places the same maximum bid as you
Bidder B places a maximum bid of $200 with 10 seconds left in the auction.
→ The system places a $200 bid for you.
→ You win the item because your maximum bid was placed before Bidder B’s.
Scenario 4: Bidder B places a higher maximum bid than yours
Bidder B places a maximum bid of $250.
→ The system automatically makes them the highest bidder at $210 (i.e., $10 above your maximum).
→ You receive an alert that you’ve been outbid.
Scenario 5: Bidder B outbids you without respecting the minimum increment
Your maximum bid is $200, and the item is currently at $125.
Bidder B places a maximum bid of $205.
→ They become the highest bidder at $205, even though the $10 minimum increment isn't met — this is allowed when a higher maximum bid is placed.
→ You receive an alert that you’ve been outbid.
*Note: If 2 identical maximum bids are placed, the advantage goes to the participant who placed his maximum bid first.
